"Last Year took a Positive turn in my life as I started my Tech Journey."
My Motivation
I applied for HNGi8 because while I was recuperating from surgery last year, I applied for and started the same internship (HNGi7) but could not continue due to my health and limitation in the application of the basic front-end skills. I was motivated because I learnt some technologies like bootstrap and basic JavaScript under pressure to meet some task's requirements during the Zuri internship (HNGi7). I applied again this year to push myself to limits beyond my comfort zone to become a better Developer.
My goal is to become proficient in Using the MERN stack technologies by partaking in projects and tasks that require application or implementation of the MERN Stack technology during the Zuri Internship and ultimately get to be a finalist by calculated conscious effort in working hard and smart. Finally, I believe that consistency is the key to perfection; by constantly taking a task and each learning process one day at a time.
My Learning Journey
This year I’m happy to apply because I’ve been working on my skill set, now I’m somehow proficient in basic Front-End skills (HTML, CSS(bootstrap), JavaScript and Version Control). I’m currently on the Path to Becoming a MERN (Mongo DB, Express, React and Node.Js) Stack Developer. I’ve been exposed to various Learning resources beginning with:
My first love is Codecademy , where I learnt HTML, CSS and Bootstrap.
I got to Learn the JavaScript via Dev Ed’s YouTube Tutorials
I learnt version control with git and GitHub on FreecodeCamp’s YouTube Channel
I also learnt Figma design basics on FreecodeCamp’s YouTube Channel
Currently I’ve started learning React on Pluralsight
I also have some other courses lined up for the MERN Stack.

My Goals
" My goal is to become more proficient in the Using MERN Stack Technologies by partaking in Projects and Tasks that require application implementation of the MERN stack technology during the Zuri Internship and become a finalist as a result of calculated hard/smart work and conscious effort. "
I resolve to tie my learning to something I enjoy.
I resolve to spend more time learning fundamentals and building simple projects Using the MEARN Stack, and when I take on projects I'll gladly enjoy every moment while working on it and also make it as fun as it can get.
I resolve to become an active coding community member
Being a part of a coding community is a great way to keep me accountable to my goals and make my learning journey more enjoyable. I'll be able to find help when I need it, share My experiences, learn from the experiences of others, and make new friends.
I resolve to make a portfolio website and make more progress on my career goals.
My ultimate goal is to start a career in software engineering in the MERN Stack (and) or cyber security, so I’ll have to build a professional portfolio website.
